AKRON -- Although he tried covering his face during an armed robbery, police have a clear view of a wanted suspect's face.

In surveillance video from the Jan. 23 incident, the suspect is seen entering a Dollar General in the 900 block of Brown Street around 10:30 a.m.

After pacing while another customer stood at the counter, the suspect tried to conceal his identity by pulling his jacket over his face.

When the other customer leaves, the suspect points a silver handgun at the clerk and demands money.

He ultimately fled the store westbound with an undisclosed amount of cash.

There's a much better view of the suspect's face from another camera in the store, which was captured as he talked on a cell phone.

Anybody with information is asked to contact the Akron Police Department at 330-375-2490.

Police warn that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

The surveillance video was just released Monday in hopes the public may help authorities locate the suspect.
