WILLOUGHBY -- Two woman and a girl were arrested Friday evening for shoplifting at Target at approximately 10 p.m., police said.
Loss preventions agents watched as the trio walked into the store, each carrying over-sized purses. They concealed miscellaneous clothing items and earrings in the purses, then walked past the cash registers without attempting to pay for any of the concealed merchandise.
Target security confronted them as they were walking to their gold Chevy Impala parked in the parking lot.
Briana Roberts and Lashe Reynolds, both 18, from Euclid, Ohio, were brought to the police station and charged with theft and possesssion of criminal tools.
The third, 16, also of Euclid, was charged with theft and possession of criminal tools and released to her mother.
The total amount of merchandise stolen was $54.97, police said.
Roberts and Reynolds bonded on a $3,500 (10%) bond and will each have a preliminary hearing scheduled for 7:45 a.m. Feb. 27.
