NORTH OLMSTED -- The man suspected in opening fire outside a Home Depot on Tuesday has made his first court appearance.

Authorities say 34-year-old James Robert Bekkar was arraigned Wednesday morning in Rocky River Municipal Court.

His bond was set at $250,000 and the judge slated a pretrial for March 11.

Police are investigating to determine what sparked the shooting outside the store in the Great Northern shopping center around noon.

Police say a 34-year-old man was inside the van when the suspect shot him in the back of the shoulder before fleeing the scene.

Police say this wasn't a random shooting.

The victim's condition is unknown.
