CLEVELAND -- The FBI Evidence Response Team has finished its work at an abandoned apartment complex on the city's east side.
The team spent a couple of hours on the site at 10810 Mt. Carmel Road.
Investigators were following up on a tip received by the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force, according to FBI Special Agent Vicki Anderson.
The evidence response team went through the abandoned Woodhill apartments collecting samples. Bones were found at the site but preliminary results indicate they are animal remains and not human.
The Violent Crimes Task Force says it can't elaborate on the tip. The FBI says it is still an open investigation.
