STOW, Ohio -- Police in Stow are investigating the possible homicide of a woman found dead in a shed behind her home.

A Stow police officer was checking on the woman who lived there, at her mother's request, Saturday evening. When there was no answer at the front door of the Maplepark Road home, he tried the back door.

Once around back, he noticed a hand sticking out from underneath a pile of blankets in the shed. The officer pulled back the blankets to reveal a woman's body underneath.

Officials have ruled the death a homicide and are investigating.

The woman's name has not been released because the family has not yet been notified.

No suspects have been named.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Detective Sgt. Steve Dunton at (330) 689-5707.
