CLEVELAND -- Case Western Reserve University went into lockdown overnight after a juvenile was shot near the campus.
An alert was sent out just after 1 a.m. Saturday to members of the Case community warning them to stay indoors and not to let anyone in.
The victim was walking near East 118th St. and Wade Park Avenue with three other people.
A group of men drove up along side them and threatened them, according to the victims. The men allegedly exited the car and began shooting at the victims.
The 17-year-old victim was shot in the leg and was taken to MetroHeath Medical Center.
The victim's identity and condition are not available. The three people with the victim were not harmed.
There is no description of the suspects or their vehicle at this time.
Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland police are now investigating.
No university students or staff were involved in the shooting.
The lockdown was lifted around 2 a.m.
