CLEVELAND -- Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that left one man dead. It happened at the intersection of Fulton Road and Storer Avenue around 2 a.m. Monday.

One adult male was transported by Cleveland EMS to MetroHealth Hospital where he died of his injuries. Police say a vehicle in the northbound lane hit the motorcycle traveling in the southbound lane then fled the scene.

The driver was located in the area of West 41st Street by witnesses. Police say a fight followed between witnesses and the driver. The driver has been placed under arrest. The identity of the victim or driver has not been released at this time.

The intersection was temporarily closed overnight.
