With rough road conditions due to overnight accumulating snow, dozens upon dozens of schools have closed for the day.

Despite only being classified as a Winter Weather Advisory, many of our reporters in the field are calling this the worst driving conditions they've experienced all winter thus far.

By 5 a.m., there were roughly 25 school closings and delays. But the floodgates opened just minutes later after Cleveland Public Schools announced they would be closed.

Here's a breakdown of how quickly school closings added up:

  • By 5:30 a.m. -- 153 closings/delays.
  • By 5:45 a.m. -- 413 closings/delays.
  • By 6 a.m. -- 514 closings/delays.
  • By 6:15 a.m. -- 619 closings/delays.
  • By 6:55 a.m. -- 709 closings/delays.
  • By 7:55 a.m. -- 750 closings/delays.
  • By 8:30 a.m. -- 763 closings/delays.

The National Weather Service had issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 7 p.m. Monday through 7 a.m. Tuesday with an estimated 4-5 inches of snow.
