Almost a thousand riders have signed up for this weekend's VeloSano bike event in the fight against cancer. The ride varies in distance from 25 to 230 miles.
Dr. Marc Harrison is the CEO of the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi. He is one of the driving forces to make the VeloSano bike ride the largest cycling event in the region. In the inaugural year, the ride has already raised more than $1.2 million.
Dr. Harrison is also a cancer survivor and cyclist and talked to WKYC's John Anderson about the big weekend of events.

There is an Opening Ceremony Friday night at Mall B in Downtown Cleveland. All are welcome to attend. Tickets for adults are $25 and $15 for children ages 6-13. There will be unlimited food and beverage along with live music and activities for the entire family.
All money raised will be used for cancer research at the Cleveland Clinic.
