CLEVELAND - Police say they are now investigating a deadly house fire as a suspected homicide, aggravated burglary and aggravated arson.
Two children died after being pulled from a house fire on Kipling Avenue Thursday night.
The two girls are identified as Peaches Christburg, 2, and Glacia Ramsey, 7.
Police say they were home with a babysitter at the time of the fire.
The babysitter told police a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt forced his way into the apartment and made her sit in the bathroom.
After smelling smoke, the babysitter left the bathroom and called police. Firefighters found the two sisters in an upstairs apartment and rushed them to Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The county medical examiner has yet to rule on a cause of death.
A neighborhood vigil was held Friday night in memory of the two little girls and to call for justice in their deaths.
