CLEVELAND -- A man was taken to the hospital after he was shot Wednesday evening on the city's West Side and his landlord was taken to jail, according to police.
According to police, they were called to the 12100 block of Marne Avenue about 8 p.m. and found a 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center to be treated for his injuries.
According to Sgt. Sammy Morris, preliminary investigation reveals that the shooting victim rents the upstairs apartment from the shooter, and they were returning home from drinking at a local bar when they began arguing.
During the argument, the shooter got a shotgun and shot the victim, he said.
The landlord was arrested for felonious assault and was taken to jail.
