Cleveland-- Community members gathered at Saint Casimir Church today to pray for Ricardo Ramos and his family as he faces deportation. Ramos is an undocumented Mexican immigrant and has been living in Lake County for sixteen years. His three children however, are American citizens.
Immigration officials granted a last-minute review of his deportation order to Mexico last week, allowing him to stay for now and celebrate his daughter's birthday.
After multiple community rallies, the family is turning to their faith and the church in hopes for a permanent stay. The deportation order is currently in effect, but there is no word on when Ramos will be ordered out of the country.
