ELYRIA -- A traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike led to the discovery of 32 pounds of marijuana by Ohio State Highway Patrol Troopers.

The drugs are valued at $144,000.

Troopers stopped a Mercedes with Oregon license plates for a failure to signal violation on January 22. A search of the car turned up the 32 pounds of marijuana in the trunk.

The driver of the car, identified by troopers as Jon A. Dangelo, 44, of Eugene, Oregon has been charged with marijuana possession and aggravated trafficking. He's being held in the Lorain County jail.
