CLEVELAND -- A family of five was able to safely escape their home after it caught fire early Tuesday morning.

Authorities say the blaze sparked at the family's home on Meyer Avenue near West 35th.

Two adults and three children were living there at the time.

The home was destroyed.

Fire officials say the family had been using a space heater to stay warm, which may have been the source of the fire.
