58 year-old driver and her passenger die at the scene in Medina County crash
HOMER TOWNSHIP - A driver and her passenger are both dead after the car they were traveling in veered off the side of the road and into a house.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, 58 year-old Doris Williams was traveling northbound on State Route 301 in Homer Township in Medina County.
Williams traveled through the stop sign at U.S. Route 224, drove off the left side of the roadway, struck a mailbox and collided with a home, where the vehicle finally came to rest.
The driver was wearing her seat belt during the crash, but her passenger was not.
Both Williams and her passenger, 53 year-old Rosemarie Kinney, died at the scene.
No injuries were reported from anyone in the home.
The crash is still being investigated.
It is not known whether drugs or alcohol was a factor.
