1. The Bainbridge Township man accused of living with 68 cats in filthy conditions will be in court today. Robert Konst is known as "Hollywood Bob." He is scheduled for a pretrial hearing. Konst faces two dozen counts of animal cruelty. The Rescue Village animal shelter is adopting out the cats taken from his home.

2. The body of a local soldier killed in the Korean War will "lie in honor" today, after being finally flown home yesterday. Donald Durfee's remains were brought home with a United States Army escort. He was just 19 years old when he was killed in action in 1950 in North Korea. Durfee's remains were labeled as "unknown" until last November when he was identified through Military DNA registry.

3. Local churches are holding services today, marking Ash Wednesday. It is the first day of Lent in the Christian church, a season of prayer and penance in the 40 days leading up to Easter. Traditionally, people give something up for Lent. But more common now, people take up acts of charity.
