Changes to bus schedules for better service, holiday traffic
CLEVELAND -- Beginning Sunday, RTA will change 23 of their bus routes to improve service and create better connectivity for riders who take several routes.
Some changes include:
- The C-Line trolley will now extend to E. 18th St. to provide service to the theater district on evenings and weekends.
- The 78 route will now serve Brookpark Station, including during rush hour. To accommodate the change, rush hour trips to and from the NASA Glenn Research Center will be reduced.
The routes that will be altered include: 5, 7, 8, 9, 15, 22, 30, 32, 39, 39F, 40, 41-41F, 48-48A, 49, 58, 76, 77F, 78, 90F, 94, 251 and 451.
St. Patrick's Day Changes
In addition to the permanent schedule adjustments, buses will be rerouted for downtown's St. Patrick's Day parade, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
The changes for most bus routes will be in effect until the parade is over and the "all-clear" is given by Cleveland Police.
However, some changes will remain in effect for all of Monday. Park and Ride Services will remain on the altered schedule for increased crowds coming in and out of the city.
All routes will be back to their regular scheduled time by Tuesday morning.
