FirstEnergy is reporting a major power outage for the village of Chagrin Falls and it's affecting a few customers in the surrounding area
CHAGRIN FALLS -- FirstEnergy reported a major power outage for the village of Chagrin Falls that also affected a few hundred customers in the surrounding area.
FirstEnergy spokesman Mark Durbin tells WKYC that power has been restored to all customers as of 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Mid-afternoon Wednesday, FirstEnergy reported 1,642 customers in the village of Chagrin Falls, 53 customers in Chagrin Falls Township, 16 customers in Bentleyville and 13 customers in Moreland Hills without power.
In adjacent Geauga County, 438 customers in Bainbridge and 61 in Russell Township were also without power.
FirstEnergy spokesman Mark Durbin tells WKYC that a problem with a circuit breaker in a substation in Chagrin Falls caused the outage.
