BAUGHMAN TOWNSHIP -- A Massillon man was killed Monday after his vehicle was struck while he was pulling out of a driveway.

Carl J. Rohr, 30, was exiting the driveway on the west side of county Road 95 in a 2002 GMC Sonoma pickup truck about 5 p.m., according to the State Highway Patrol.

He was struck by a 1998 Ford F-250 pickup that was being driven southbound on 95 by Cory Hopton, 21, also of Massillon.

Hopton braked in an attempt to avoid striking Rohr's truck but struck the driver's side.

Hopton was not hurt. Rohr was pronounced dead at the scene by the assistant Wayne County coroner. His body was taken to Swigart Easterling Funeral Home by the funeral home director.

The Marshallville Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol and speed are not suspected to have been factors.

This is the fifth fatal crash of 2014 in Wayne County.
