AKRON -- Just before noon Friday, police officers responded to a shooting in the 200 block of North Adams Street. The suspect, Cory L. Little, 25, of Akron, was involved in a verbal argument with his girlfriend.

Cory pulled out a handgun and fired several shots into his girlfriend's car. Their two month old baby was in the car at the time but was not injured.

Little then got into his car and tried to drive away but police stopped him and took him into custody. Little was in possession of a 9mm handgun.

Little was charged with two counts of felonious assault, child endangering, carrying a concealed weapon and domestic violence.

The girlfriend, Mahogany L. Justice, 21, of Barberton, was charged with misrepresenting identity and falsification. She had given officers a false name.

Offficers also arrested Theaonna Marie Underwood, 20, of Akron, for possession of heroin. Underwood was a passenger in Little's car when officers stopped him following the shots being fired.
