SUMMIT COUNTY -- A would-be robber made an early stop at the Starbucks at 2884 S. Arlington Road in Coventry Township just before dawn Friday but left emptyhanded.

Police say that a man walked into Starbucks just after 6 a.m. and handed a note to a barista.

The handwritten note demanded cash and he indicated on the note that he was in possession of a handgun and would use the weapon if he did not get what he wanted.

For whatever reason, he didn't get any money and ran out of the shop, driving away in a red vehicle, make and model unknown.

Sheriff's deputies say the suspect is white, stands about 6 feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has facial hair.

He was wearing: tan pants, tan boots, a dark colored t-shirt over a green long sleeve shirt, and a dark colored knit hat.
