AKRON -- The Ohio Department of Transportation is holding a meeting Tuesday night to discuss details of their Brittain Road bridge rehab project.
The project will use $2 million dollars of city, state and federal money to replace decks, abutments and beams to both the bridge over East Market Street and the bridge over the railway.
ODOT has partnered with the city of Akron and will put the project up for bid next winter. They hope to begin construction in the spring of 2015 and complete it by the fall.
During construction, Brittain Road will be closed for 120 days, and East Market Street will have some nightly closures as well.
Tuesday's meeting will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. at the East Community Learning Center Library.
