A jury found an Akron man guilty of two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.
AKRON -- An Akron man will spend life in prison after being convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl.
Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh says a judge gave 55-year-old Kenneth Henry the maximum sentence.
Walsh says Henry sexually assaulted the daughter of a female acquaintance last November.
The girl confided to a friend on Facebook, and that friend told the victim's mom.
Walsh calls the girl and her friend brave, and says it took a lot of courage for the victim to testify.
A jury found Henry guilty of two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.
He will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years in prison, when he is 80 years old.
But if he ever gets out of prison, he will have to register his address and employment for the rest of his life.
