CLEVELAND – The filmmakers behind the movie, 'The Sax Man' won the "Local Heroes" competition at the 38th Cleveland International film festival. The documentary tells the life story of Maurice Reedus, Junior, known to many as 'The Sax man.' Reedus is a street musician who often plays outside of local sporting events.

The documentary was also named a runner up for the "Roxanne T. Mueller Audience Choice Award" for Best film. The local filmmakers behind the movie include, producer Todd Bemak of Cleveland, director Joe Sieber, of Canton, cinematographer John Pope of Akron and executive producer Beau Miller, of Hudson.

The film will now be shown at other festivals including Palm Beach, Arizona, Memphis, Chicago and Beverly Hills.
