Friday is Bike to Work Day, and greater Clevelanders are encouraged to leave their cars at home and commute by bike.

Activities are planned throughout the day and include "energizer stations" where cyclists can get a free cup of coffee and a pre-work and after-work parties at several locations.

Discounts are also being offered at a variety of Cleveland businesses for anyone with a bike helmet.

The event, organized by Bike Cleveland, also includes free rides on RTA for anyone with a bike. Each RTA bus has a rack that holds either two or three bikes.
