CLEVELAND -- Police are now releasing details about a standoff that took place on East 71st Street and Hecker Avenue.

Late Thursday afternoon, police said they are still investigating a felonious assault shooting incident that happened at 11 a.m. today in the 1100 block of E. 71st Street.
Police say it was confirmed that there was one man who was the victim of a gunshot wound to the buttocks who had been taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the preliminary investigation shows that the victim and suspect know one another and that they became involved in a verbal argument, whoch was followed by the suspect shooting the victim.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect may have been in a house in the 1100 block of East 71st Street.
As the suspect was armed, the SWAT Unit responded, cordoned off the area and checked the house.
The suspect was not located.
