CLEVELAND -- A reported double kidnapping turned out to be a false alarm Sunday.
Cleveland Police say two 15-year-old girls were believed to be abducted based on information observed by their parents on social media.
Upon investigating and speaking with the teens via cell phone, police made a broadcast to other local authorities for missing persons.
At approximately 1 a.m., the Ohio State Patrol located and stopped a vehicle in which the teens were with two adult males. After detaining and questioning all occupants, it was determined that no kidnappings had taken place.
The teens were picked up by their parents in Cambridge.
One of the two adult males was arrested for a local traffic warrant.
