CLEVELAND -- A 26-year-old man is dead following a shooting late Monday night on the city's west side.
Investigators say the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at home in the 2200 block of W. 73rd.
Upon their arrival, officers found the victim dead inside the residence.
Preliminary investigation reveals the victim, shooting suspect and suspect's sister all live at the home. Police say the victim was having a verbal altercation with the suspect's sister at the time he was shot.
Police arrested the suspected gunman, 28-year-old Joshua Carter. Officers also located a weapon.
The homicide unit is currently investigating details of the incident.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine the final cause of death and identify the victim.
Some reports indicated the shooting victim had been killed in an attempted home invasion.
