CLEVELAND -- Thanks to the help of Cleveland Police, a 3-year-old boy is home safe with his family.
Early Thursday morning, the boy was found walking around the area of a convenience store alone at 28th and Cedar.
After authorities were alerted to the situation, police responded to the scene, held the child's hand and walked around the immediate area asking if anybody knew him.
Eventually, the boy ran to a home nearby in the Cedar Estates. It was his residence.
Police say the boy's mother had left to go to work and the dad was inside sleeping.
It's believed the boy walked out of the home with the desire to get some candy from the store.
