BAY VILLAGE -- Police were called by an Osborn Road resident just after 1 p.m. April 14 because the resident said called to report that he heard several gunshots coming from a neighbor's house on Osborn.

Police responded to the area and located the house where the resident said he thought he heard the shots coming from.

After an investigation, officers determined that a resident, 19, had fired several blank rounds from a handgun that was modified to shoot blanks only out of his bedroom window.

The man was taken into custody without incident.

He faced charges in Rocky River Municipal Court for inducing panic, obstructing official business and discharging a firearm.
