SOLON -- They say "criminals" often return to the scene of the crime. Apparently, this is exactly what happened following a "road rage" incident.

Just before 1 p.m. Saturday, police were called out to 29300 Aurora Road on a report of an aggravated menacing complaint. Upon arrival, officers spoke to two women, 38 and 29.

They said that, while they were driving on Aurora Road near Cochran Road, they got involved in a road rage incident with an older man driving a black pickup truck.

According to the victims, the man in the truck pulled a loaded Taurus .380 semi-automatic pistol and threatened them. He then drove away.

But while police were talking to the victims, the suspect was seen driving on Aurora Road.

Police stopped him and identified the him as Alln Uthe, 70, of Solon.

During the investigation, Uthe was found to have CCW permits through Geauga County and Forest County, Pennsylvania.

Uthe was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated menacing.

The two victims completed paperwork requesting a Temporary Protection Order against Uthe.

The weapon and the permits were confiscated.

The agencies that issued the permits were notified of the arrest and the fact that the victims asked for a protection order against Uthe.

Uthe posted bond and is scheduled for arraignment in Bedford Municipal at 9 a.m. May 7.
