Police say the rape occurred in a high school restroom after regular school hours.
PARMA -- Police here say they have arrested an 18-year-old Normandy High School student after he was accused of sexually assaulting a female student inside the high school on May 12.
Police say Raylon Etheridge, of Maple Heights, is accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student inside of a school restroom after regular school hours.
Police say that, shortly after the assault allegedly occurred, the female student reported the incident to a caregiver, who then advised a staff member at the school.
The school staff member immediately contacted the police.
The Parma Police Department initiated an investigation, which later resulted in Etheridge being taken into custody.
He has been charged in Parma Municipal Court with one count of rape, a first-degree felony.
