Further investigation revealed the gun was in a residence on Columbia Road.

BAY VILLAGE -- Today an Upland Road resident reported that his vehicle was entered between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. today and several items were stolen from it, including a handgun.

Police quickly developed information that a 17-year-old Bay Village resident was involved in the theft. Officers recovered much of the stolen items from a residence on Wolf Road.

Further investigation revealed the gun was in a residence on Columbia Road.

At 3 p.m. today, police, with the assistance of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau SWAT team, searched the home on Columbia Road.

The stolen handgun was recovered and two teenage boys involved in the theft and possession of the handgun were arrested. Charges are pending further investigation.
