CLEVELAND -- The police Accident Investigation Unit and Fourth District detective bureau are currently investigating a felonious assault and a robbery that happened at 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police say that the preliminary investigation reveals that an unidentified black man about 17-22 years of age committed a robbery at 18817 Garden Boulevard.

He is alleged to have taken a 2007 Honda dirt bike. After being robbed, the two victims of the robbery, Alfonso Trail III, 28, and Aaron J. Trail, 24, got into their respective vehicles and began looking for the robbery suspect.

The Trails found the suspect walking on E. 189th Street with the stolen Honda.

While driving a 2003 Chevy Malibu, Alfonso Trail struck the robbery suspect and the Honda dirt bike with the vehicle.

Aaron Trail, while driving a 2013 Kia, struck the robbery suspect with the vehicle as well.

Police arrived on the scene and both Alfonso and Aaron Trail were arrested for felonious assault.

The unidentified victim of the felonious assault was conveyed to MetroHealth Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition with spinal injuries and swelling of the brain.

A loaded handgun was recovered on the scene by police. Who possessed the handgun is under investigation as well.

At this time, the victim of the felonious assault has not been identified.
