WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Crocker Road is back open after a gas main rupture has closed a portion of the road in both directions between Hilliard and Detroit roads.
According to police, construction crews punctured a five-inch hole in the gas line.
Heavy traffic in the area made it difficult for crews to reach the broken line right away.
Nearby Crocker Park was not affected by the rupture.
A representative for Columbia Gas said an assisted living facility was the only place to have its gas service interrupted.
Authorities checked nearby homes to make sure the gas leak will not cause any problems for residents.
No injuries were reported.
