CLEVELAND -- It has been nearly 10 months since 5-year-old Israel Thornton was fatally struck by a vehicle while walking to his school bus stop.
Now, authorities say they have arrested a suspect in the deadly hit-and-run crash.
Cleveland police say Jerome Lee is facing charges of aggravated vehicular homicide and felony hit-skip.
He is currently in the Cuyahoga County Jail for unrelated crimes.
Lee's alleged connection to the case came after investigators say they received information from a CrimeStoppers tip.
In the days following the crash, police released a poster with information about the suspect's vehicle in hopes somebody might have some details about the situation.
Other students reportedly witnessed the Oct. 25 incident where Israel was struck on West 37th Street and Denison Avenue.
