An undercover Willoughby police detective, who was conducting surveillance on suspected drug activity, observed a narcotics transaction
WILLOUGHBY -- On Thursday, police arrested Teard Davis, 22, of Euclid, and Seth Burhenne, 31, of Willoughby, for their involvement in trafficking narcotics.
An undercover Willoughby police detective, who was conducting surveillance on suspected drug activity in the Barber Avenue/Euclid Avenue area, observed a narcotics transaction occur at approximately 9:30 am between David and Burhenne.
The detective followed Davis and made a traffic stop once other police units arrived in the area. With the assistance of a Willoughby Hills Police K9, detectives and officers located suspected narcotics on Davis and a large amount of cash inside the vehicle Davis was driving.
Detectives and officers located Burhenne on Wood Street in Willoughby. Burhenne was found to be in possession of suspected heroin and drug abuse instruments.
Both were arrested and taken back to the Willoughby Police Department.
Burhenne was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments.
Davis was charged with tampering with evidence, trafficking in narcotics, possession of narcotics and possession of criminal tools.
Davis and Burhenne were arraigned Friday morning.
Davis has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 29, 2014 at 1 pm. Davis had a bond set for $15,000.
Burhenne has not had a preliminary hearing scheduled yet or a bond set.
