BRECKSVILLE -- School administrators in Brecksville say a suspicious package found outside an elementary school this morning was harmless and part of a geocaching treasure hunt game.

A custodian found the package this morning around 7 a.m. at Hilton Elementary. Police were called in to investigate and students were diverted directly to the high school gym and auditorium.

The building is for K-3 students.

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District issued the following statement:

"The suspicious package found outside Hilton Elementary School this morning was determined to be a geocaching device. These devices are used for real-world treasure hunts using GPS-enabled tools. Neither students nor the building were in danger at any time. Students are being transported from the high school back to Hilton this morning. Thank you to the Brecksville and Broadview Heights police departments for their assistance in the investigation this morning"
