The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Joseph Stevenson.

Stevenson is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and Elyria police for aggravated burglary, domestic violence, and unlawful restraint.

Stevenson is believed to be hiding somewhere in Elyria. He also has a previous address near the 1800 block of Middle Avenue in Elyria.

It is alleged that on Oct. 23 Stevenson allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend's apartment through an unlocked door. Stevenson began yelling at her then choked her and threw her to the ground.

Stevenson also stole her phone so she couldn't call for help and would not let her leave the apartment. The victim finally managed to escape and go to a neighbor's to call the police.

Stevenson, 26, is black, approximately 5-foot-9 and 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
