The Nina and the Pinta, two replica tall ships of Christopher Columbus' ships, will visit Lorain in August.
The ships will be docked at Black River Landing from Aug. 8 to 12.
Self-guided tours are available for $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for students 5-16 and free for children 4 and under. The ship will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. No reservations are necessary.
According to the Columbus Foundation, the Nina was built completely by hand and without the use of power tools. Archaeology magazine called the ship "the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built.
The Pinta was recently built in Brazil to accompany the Nina.
