MEDINA -- A 23-year-old woman is charged with Child Endangerment after allegedly leaving her 2 and 5-year-olds home alone in her Miner Drive apartment while she was at work.

Medina Police arrested Vyasia Caprice Delaney on Wednesday shortly after they found her children unsupervised. The manager of Birch Manor Huntington Apartments called police after she was notified of children playing in the hallways.

Chief Patrick Berarducci said Delaney told officers she left the apartment around 7 a.m. to go to work. She also told police she had moved to Medina from Cuyahoga County to get away from Children Services.

The children were placed in protective custody by Medina County Job and Family Services. Delaney was taken to Medina County Jail.
