CLEVELAND -- It's a midwinter gift!

You and your family will have a chance to see two of Cleveland's coolest attractions for free this weekend.

Cleveland rocks! And this weekend, it rocks for free!

"If you've been cooped up all winter, this is a chance to see your neighbors and enjoy the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," says Rock Hall CEO Greg Harris.

Thanks to the Cleveland Foundation, you and your family have a great chance to get out, explore the best of Cleveland, and save some money.

On Saturday, you can get into the Great Lakes Science Center for free. For a family of four, that's a savings of $88.

"Come early. We'll throw open the doors at 10 a.m., and we'd love to have a crowd when we open. It will be easier to get in then than later," says Science Center CEO Kirsten Ellenbogen.

And the Science Center is also bringing in its own rock star, an astronaut who flew on the Space Shuttle Discovery.

"Not only will we have programming every hour, but as part of our partnership with NASA, we will have astronaut Dr. Don Thomas here," says Ellenbogen.

And if that weren't cool enough, on Sunday, you can stroll through the doors of the Rock Hall for free. That will save a family of four $70.

"We'll manage lines well. We'll keep people moving, and it's going to be a big celebration," says Harris.

And not to be outdone, the Rock Hall has its own rock star coming too -- Vini Lopez from the E Street Band!

This weekend is a chance to get out and really celebrate the city.

Even though extra parking will be available, you are encouraged to use the RTA to get to the Northcoast. From Tower City, ride the free L line trolley or hop on the Waterfront Line.
