SOUTH EUCLID -- How fast could you run away while pushing a shopping cart filled with cases of beer and other 'adult beverages'?
About 9 p.m. Wednesday night, police say an intoxicated South Euclid woman, 29, was arrested after what police describe as a botched attempt to steal $150 worth of beer and other adult beverages from Giant Eagle, according to the department's Facebook page.
An employee in the liquor department noticed the theft, and brought it to the attention of an officer working security at the front of the store.
When the officer approached the woman and told her to stop, she started running toward the exit, pushing the large shopping cart full of beer at the same time.
She was arrested and relocated to the South Euclid jail.
Bond has been set at $525.
