I don't know about you but I am a big Star Wars fan. I have my likes and dislikes and can quote from certain episodes verbatim.

Well, the official Star Wars website posted the cast of the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII" today and included in the cast list were original cast members Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker and Peter Mayhew.

In case you don't recognize the names of the last three, they are C-3PO, R2-D2 and Wookie Chewbacca.

But we will have to wait until Dec. 18, 2015, to watch the latest installment.

The website also posted this: Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer."

On the website, it quotes Abrams as saying, ""We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

The official Star Wars website has lots more information.

The new performers include John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow.

I know that, since Star Wars hit the big screen back in 1977 with Episode IV: A New Hope, the movies have had years between them.

THE LIST: 1980: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back; 1983: Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi; 1999: Episode I: The Phantom Menace; 2002: Episode II: Attack Of The Clones; and 2005: Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith.

So it will now be 10 years between the last episode and the upcoming one. As I have said before, I am a patient person, especially when something is worth waiting for. Anything good is worth waiting for.
