MOUNT BLANCHARD, Ohio -- A Riverdale Schools kindergarten teacher charged with child endangering after she was caught on video grabbing a kindergarten student and lifting him up by the face is expected to resign Monday. The video went viral across the U.S.
Surveillance video appeared to show her shoving and picking the child up by the face. The Courier newspaper in Findlay reports (http://bit.ly/1o0yWsO ) that Williams' resignation is listed on the agenda of the Riverdale Local Schools board.
Superintendent Eric Hoffman tells the paper he expects the board to receive Williams' resignation Monday evening. It would be effective immediately once the board approves it.
Williams and her attorney have declined to comment about the charges. A message was left Friday with Williams' attorney. Hoffman says with a new school year coming, it's time to move forward.
