Ohio's governor has approved ten new projects to bring more money and jobs into the state.
COLUMBUS – Governor John Kasich has approved ten projects throughout the state that will create nearly 350 new jobs.
The economic development proposals that Kasich approved are expected to bring $17.4 million in new payroll, and spur nearly $8.7 million in investment statewide.
Three of the ten projects are in our region.
Aurora Plastics, Inc. of Streetsboro will create 19 full-time positions.
That will generate about $1.5 million in additional annual payroll as part of an expansion project.
Selman & Company, LLC of Cleveland will create 40 full-time jobs, which will grow its payroll by $1.7 million.
Finally, Venture Packaging in the village of Monroeville expects to create 45 full-time positions.
That will bring in $1.1 million in payroll and help expand the manufacturing of plastic consumer packaging.
All the approved projects come with a job creation tax credit.
