SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- Friday the 13th was very unlucky for a local teacher, who is in trouble with the law.

Springfield Township Police confirm they arrested Akron School teacher Nicole Gries, 39, for possession of chemicals that are used in the production of drugs, specifically meth.

The police say they found packages of pseudophedrine in her car outside her home and cold packs. The contents in cold packs are often used for making meth. Gries was taken to jail, and she was released on bond Tuesday.

The Akron School District says she is a librarian at East High School. This is felony charge that she is facing. She is currently still employed by the school district.
