MASON -- More than 1,800 people applied lipstick at the same time to set a new Guinness World Record at Kings Island.

The event was part of the "Kings Island Kicks Cancer" campaign to raise awareness and money for Pink Ribbon Girls, an organization whose mission is to provide support for young women and their families as they deal with breast cancer.

The 1,821 people who participated on Saturday broke the previous record of 1,384 people applying lipstick at the same time. The previous record was set by Avon Romania at the lulius Mall in the town of Cluj-Napoca in Romania in March.

Over the last three weeks, participants at Kings Island have broken three records in the Guinness Book of World Records. Last week, 2,148 people topped the record for most people applying sunscreen simultaneously. The week before, 213 people shaved their heads, breaking another record.

The "King Island Kicks Cancer" campaign runs through August 24. Park guests can contribute by buying a soccer ball for $5 and kicking it into the park fountain for a chance to win a 2015 Honda Fit.

As of Saturday, more than $110,000 has been raised since the campaign began July 25. The proceeds from soccer ball sales benefit The Dragonfly Foundation, Melanoma Know More and Pink Ribbon Girls.
