MANTUA -- Water has been restored to most of the Village of Mantua after residents and businesses were without water most of Saturday.

A boil alert WAS LIFTED at 4:33 p.m. Monday.

The water will likely be discolored, and customers may notice air in the lines and low pressure.

Residents were without water Saturday after emergency repairs were required at the water plant.

The American Red Cross and the Hiram Fire Department provided bottled water and drinking water to residents in the evening.

Village officials met with the water plant operator Sunday morning to make a final assessment.
