PORTAGE COUNTY -- A lawsuit has been filed against the organizer of Foam Fest 2014, a mud obstacle-course event that was cancelled days before the scheduled event.

A news release by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine indicated the organizers, Round House Racing LLC, failed to deliver a promised event and did not disclose refund limitations when consumers purchased the tickets ahead of time.

The event, expected to take place July 19 in Garrettsville, had been canceled two days prior.

More than 60 complaints have been filed at this time, but additional consumers are likely to have been impacted, according to DeWine.

"This business took advance payment from consumers and then abruptly canceled its event without providing refunds," Attorney General DeWine said. "We are seeking restitution for consumers and an injunction to stop further violations of Ohio's consumer protection laws."

The Attorney General's lawsuit describes the organizers violated the Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act. The Attorney General is seeking consumer restitution, injunctive relief and civil penalties.
